The Whirlpool PUR Advanced 4396710 Refrigerator Water Filter is a
new water filter
designed for the Whirlpool side-by-side refrigerator. This
filter is easy to replace as it can be found at the front of the machine in the
bottom grille. With just a push of a button you can easily replace your old
water filter with the Whirlpool PUR Advanced 4396710 Refrigerator Water Filter.
The water produced form the Whirlpool PUR Advanced 4396710 Refrigerator Water
Filter is excellent and can be used for drinking and cooking. It reduces the
amount of cysts, dirt, rust, chlorine, odor, bad taste and lime scale build up
that can occur in the water or your water system. It also removes ethylbenzene,
Alachlor, Asbestos, mercury, tetrachlororethylene, Lindane, endrin, Atrazine,
Toxaphene, lead and P-dichlorobenzene if they are present in your water. It can
also clear up any turbidity causes by particles.
The filter should be replaced every six months are earlier depending on the
taste of your water. It the water tastes or smells off or the water pressure
decrease significantly then the filter probably needs to be replaced. There is
also a red replacement light on the refrigerator that will tell you when to get
a new water filter.
The filter has an optimal working mode of between 33 and 100 degrees F with a
pressure of between 30 and 120 psi. The recommended flow rate is 0.5 gpm. If
your refrigerator has PUR Measure or a fast fill option then you will need a
different type of water filter. Otherwise this filter is entirely capable of
handling your water filtering need.
