Which Pur Or Brita
Water Filter Is Better
Which PUR or Brita water filter is better? Well
that's a question that can be
answered but in two parts really. You have to
consider which type of water filter you're looking at. Do you want a pitcher
that you can fill up with water and use, or a faucet mounted water filter
system?
In many cases when you compare the two as far as water filter pitchers, PUR will
give you a better taste. Both will remove the same contaminants as the other.
Though one PUR does remove an extra contaminant of methyl tertiary-butyl which
is a gasoline additive that may pollute your groundwater.
Cost wise you're not going to find any difference really both are very
reasonable and will offer you clean water. Removing 99% of many contaminants
that include Chlorine and Lead among several other things. Bottled water will
still have many things in it that you don't know about.
However, if you switch and compare the faucet mounted filters for PUR and Brita
you will get a better deal with the Brita. Though the cost again is going to be
very close, it seems that the PUR water filter has many problems with leaking.
Something that can be a waste of water, and a pain.
Both remove the same amount of contaminants when tested, and those include
things like Giardia and cryptosporidium. One person put up a video that you can
watch to see the leak of their PUR water filtration device they have on their
faucet.
Really these two products are great though. PUR and Brita are at the top of the
market when it comes to purification of water. Depending on which water filter
system you want to use, you will do well in purchasing either of these products.
So which PUR or Brita water filter is better? Well they are both great, go with
many reviews and decide for yourself.
